What do you let give?

Studies show that to get optimum performance out of our direct reports, we should be spending 6 hours per week with each of them. That’s right, 6 hours of coaching and leadership.

With this is mind, calculate the amount of time you should be spending with your direct reports. This calculation can sometimes be alarming, particularly if you have 10 direct reports. That’s 60 hours of coaching and leadership, let alone the 15% of time you should be spending on strategy, planning and growth and then the 35% of time that you will generally be required to work ‘in’ the business.

At some point something has to give. Is it the number of hours you work? Are you not leading your team to their optimal performance? Is it sacrificing your growth? Or do you just not do the things you need to do for the business to tick over effectively?

If you’re having to let something give because you just don’t have the time – you need to contact HR Your Way today.  We can help you put business structures in place that enable you to effectively lead your people, grow your business, work realistic hours and still get the job done!
